Alucobond Decorative Interior Cladding

Decorative interior ACP and aluminium cladding for Ghana — lobby feature walls, column wraps, reception fronts, ceilings as a design feature and interior signage, in the metallic, wood-effect, stone-effect and solid-colour ACP range. Engineered fixings, real finishes, and the right core for interior use. Alucobond Ghana, since 1977.

A decorative interior in aluminium composite panel gives a lobby, column or feature wall the flat, precise, metallic-or-textured surface that timber and stone struggle to match — and it does it lightweight, fast, and in finishes from brushed metal to wood-effect. Alucobond Ghana has fabricated and installed ACP and aluminium interiors across Ghana since 1977, and we treat the joint pattern and finish as part of the design, not an afterthought.

Why ACP Works Indoors

Inside a building the panel is freed from weather and wind load, so the whole emphasis moves to flatness, joint precision and finish — exactly where ACP is strong. It stays dead flat across large feature walls, it can be CNC-routed and folded into clean cassettes, and it carries metallic, wood-effect, stone-effect and solid-colour finishes that read as premium under interior lighting. The result is a crisp, modern surface that installs faster and lighter than stone or solid timber.

Choosing the Finish & Core for Interiors

The finish is chosen against the design intent — a corporate lobby reads differently in brushed metal than in warm wood-effect. The core still matters indoors: for occupied interiors and any fire-strategy areas we specify an appropriate FR or A2 core rather than defaulting to combustible PE, and we document it. We confirm every finish against a physical sample before fabrication, so what is approved is what is installed.

Decorative Interior Systems

Lobby & Reception Feature Walls

Large flat feature walls and reception backdrops in metallic, wood-effect or solid-colour ACP, set out with a deliberate shadow-gap joint pattern so the wall reads as a designed surface rather than a clad one.

Column Wraps & Reception Fronts

Folded ACP cassettes wrapping structural columns and forming reception-desk and counter fronts — CNC-routed returns give crisp arrises that timber edging cannot hold as cleanly.

Ceilings as a Feature

Suspended or fixed ACP panels treating the ceiling soffit as a design element — coffers, floating rafts and feature bulkheads — coordinated with the lighting layout.

Interior Signage & Wayfinding Backgrounds

ACP and anodised-aluminium backgrounds for interior signage, logo walls and wayfinding, giving a flat, durable, premium ground for applied or routed lettering. See also Signage & Wayfinding.

How We Design & Install a Decorative Interior

  1. Take the design intent and survey the space — wall flatness, column geometry, ceiling soffit.
  2. Specify finish, panel and the right core — metallic/wood/stone/solid/anodised + thickness + interior-appropriate core, in writing.
  3. Detail the joints, returns and lighting interface — shadow gaps, returns, column wraps, signage/lighting interfaces before fabrication.
  4. Fabricate, install and hand over clean — CNC-cut to the joint pattern, concealed sub-frame, protective film removed, finish documented.

What Affects the Cost

Decorative interior work is quoted on survey — the finish, fabrication complexity and access decide the figure. Indicative material references and the full cost picture are on the ACP Cladding Cost Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can decorative ACP cladding be used for inside a building? Lobby and reception feature walls, column wraps, reception and counter fronts, lift-lobby surrounds, ceilings treated as a design feature, and interior signage backgrounds. ACP suits interiors because it is flat, lightweight, available in metallic/wood-effect/stone-effect/solid-colour finishes, and CNC-routable into clean folded shapes.

Is interior ACP the same panel as exterior façade cladding? The same family of panel, but the spec changes. Interior work faces no weather or wind load, so the emphasis is flatness, joints and finish. The core still matters — for occupied interiors and fire-strategy areas we specify FR or A2 rather than combustible PE, and document it.

What finishes are available for a decorative interior? Metallic and brushed-metal looks, wood-effect and stone-effect prints, solid RAL/Pantone colours in PVDF or PE, and genuine anodised aluminium for a true-metal lobby. We confirm the finish against a physical sample before fabrication.

How are the panels fixed so the joints look clean? Panels are fabricated as folded cassettes fixed to a concealed aluminium sub-frame, so no fixings show on the face. The shadow-gap joint pattern is set out at design stage and routed into the panels — which is why a surveyed, detailed job looks crisp.
