ACP Cladding Cost in Ghana — Honest 2026 Price Guide

What ACP cladding really costs in Ghana — material vs installed. Sheet ~GH₵315 (3mm), imported material US$2–8/m² FOB, and why a commercial façade is genuinely priced on survey. Alucobond Ghana, since 1977.

How Much Does ACP Cladding Cost?

The honest answer is two numbers, not one — a material price and an installed price — and confusing the two is where most quotes go wrong in Ghana. A sheet of panel is one line on the invoice; the sub-frame, fabrication, fixings, access and labour are the rest of it. Alucobond Ghana has priced and installed aluminium-composite façades since 1977, and on this page we give the real material references and explain why the installed figure for a commercial façade genuinely waits for a survey.

The Material Price — What You Can Quote

These are material-only references. They do not include the sub-frame, fabrication, fixings, access or labour, and they do not name the core grade — which itself changes the cost.

  • Per sheet: a 3mm ACP sheet is around GH₵315 per sheet (a single Jiji listing), for a standard 1220 × 2440mm panel.
  • Per square metre, imported: ACP material runs around US$2–8 per square metre FOB (free on board) — the cost of the panel landed, before anything is done with it.

Treat both as indicative market references, not a delivered-and-installed quote.

Why the Installed Price Is “On Survey”

A finished commercial façade is priced on survey for honest reasons, not evasive ones. The installed figure is built up in layers, and only the first — the panel — is in the material price above:

The Core Grade

A combustible PE core is the cheapest. A fire-retardant FR core costs more. A non-combustible A2 core (A2-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1) costs the most, because of the mineral filler. Where the building’s height, use or occupancy demands it, the A2 core is worth the difference — it is a life-safety specification, not an upsell. See the Fire-Rated ACP guide.

The Sub-Frame and Cavity

The panels hang on an engineered aluminium sub-frame with brackets, rails and back-ventilation — a real structural element, not an afterthought. A ventilated rain-screen system is engineered, not just stuck on.

Building Height and Access

A two-storey shopfront and a twelve-storey tower are different jobs even at the same square metre rate, because access, scaffolding or rope-access and safe working at height all cost money. These are measured on site, never from a desk.

Fabrication, Coating and Finish

Panel thickness (3–6mm), coating (PVDF/PE/FEVE), alloy, and finish (anodised, RAL/Pantone colour, brushed metallic) all move the figure.

A Regional Reference for Togo

There is no reliable published per-m² installed figure for Ghana, which is why we survey. As a francophone West-Africa reference usable for Lomé, Togo — drawn from CYPE data for Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon — an installed aluminium curtain wall runs around 280,000–311,000 F CFA per square metre. A global reference range is around US$180–500+ per square metre installed. These are indicative references, not a Ghana quote — the firm figure follows a survey of height, access and sub-frame.

How to Get an Accurate Quote

  1. Separate material from installed. Ask the supplier to quote the panel and the installed system as two lines, so you can see what you are paying for.
  2. Pin down the core grade. PE, FR or A2 — and get the EN 13501-1 class in writing. A cheap quote with an undisclosed PE core is not a saving, it is a risk.
  3. Book the survey. A surveyor confirms grade, area, height and access and issues an itemised firm quote. The ranges on this page are reference points; no fixed installed price is committed before we see the building.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ACP cladding cost in Ghana?

It splits into material and installed. As an indicative 2026 material reference, a 3mm ACP sheet is around GH₵315 per sheet, and imported ACP material around US$2–8/m² FOB — material only. A finished commercial façade is genuinely priced on survey, because the core grade (PE/FR/A2), building height, access and sub-frame decide the figure.

What is the price of an Alucobond / ACP sheet?

An indicative 2026 reference is around GH₵315 per 3mm sheet (a single Jiji listing) for a standard 1220 × 2440mm panel. That is a material-only, per-sheet price — it excludes the sub-frame, fabrication, fixings, access and labour, and it does not specify the core grade.

Does fire-rated A2 ACP cost more?

Yes — both an FR core and an A2 limited-combustibility core cost more than a combustible PE core, because of the mineral filler. Where building height, use or occupancy requires it, the fire-rated core is worth the difference. It is a life-safety specification, not an upsell.

Why won’t you give a fixed price per square metre?

Because building height, access and the sub-frame are measured on site, not from a desk, and they genuinely change the figure. We give honest material references here and a firm itemised quote after a free survey.
