How Much Does ACP Cladding Cost in Ghana? An Honest Answer
Why There Is No Single Price
When someone asks “how much does ACP cladding cost in Ghana?” they usually want one number. The honest answer is that there isn’t one — there are two very different numbers hiding behind the question, and confusing them is how people get surprised at invoice time.
The first is the material price: what a panel costs as a product. The second is the installed price: what a finished, engineered façade costs on a real building. Alucobond Ghana has worked on aluminium-composite façades in Ghana since 1977, and we would rather give you the honest structure of the cost than invent a figure we cannot stand behind.
The Material Price — What We Can Publish
These are indicative 2026 material references. They are the panel as a product, not a wall on a building:
- ~GH₵315 per 3mm sheet — an indicative market reference for a standard panel. Sheet-only. It does not include the sub-frame, fabrication, fixings, access, or labour, and it does not state the core grade (PE/FR/A2), which changes the material cost.
- ~US$2–8 per m² (FOB, material-only) — an indicative range for imported ACP material. Again material-only, before any installation.
Treat these as starting references, not as the cost of a finished façade. They are the first layer of the cost, and the smallest one.
The Installed Price — Why It’s Priced on Survey
A finished façade is a system, and the panel is one line in it. The rest is what actually drives the price:
Core Grade (PE / FR / A2)
A combustible PE core is the cheapest. An FR (fire-retardant) and an A2 (limited-combustibility) core both cost more because of the mineral filler. The fire-rated cores are worth the difference where the building requires them — that is a life-safety decision, not an upsell.
Sub-Frame and Support
The panel fixes to an engineered aluminium sub-frame anchored to the building. The support is often a larger cost line than the panel itself.
Height and Access
Building height, scaffolding or access equipment, and difficult sites all add to the installed figure. A two-storey shopfront and a ten-storey tower are not the same job.
Area, Coating and Finish
Panel thickness (3–6mm), coating (PVDF/PE/FEVE), alloy, and finish (anodised, RAL/Pantone) all move the number.
Because these vary building to building, an honest installed price for a commercial façade comes after a survey — measuring the height, access, and sub-frame on site, not guessing from a desk.
A Useful Regional Reference for Togo
There is no reliable published per-m² installed figure for Ghana. As a Francophone West-African reference usable for Togo, aluminium curtain-wall installed runs roughly 280,000–311,000 F CFA per m² (CYPE data, Burkina Faso / Côte d’Ivoire / Cameroun). That is a reference, not a Ghana quote — the firm figure still follows a survey.
How to Get a Number You Can Trust
- Separate the material line from the installed system in any quote you receive.
- Confirm the core grade in writing — a PE-core quote and an A2-core quote are not comparable.
- Have a surveyor confirm area, height, and access before any firm installed price.
- Get the firm figure in a detailed written quote after the free survey.
